Midwest Faceters' Guild
Wel
The
Faceters' Frats
One of the comments most often heard from students and
instructors at the Seminars was that they loved the opportunity to just get
together with other faceters and talk faceting. In response we created
the Faceters' Frat, a two day gathering at which Guild members bring
their machines and get together
with the sole purpose of faceting, exchanging information and having a good
time. Even though there is no formal class per se, we can almost
guarantee that you'll learn something. We are also pretty confident
that you'll make some new friends, enjoy yourself thoroughly and most likely
eat too much at the pot lucks.
We ask that you bring a couple things for the pot
luck meals and perhaps something like cookies. These events are
open to all Guild members. Pre-registration is not required but we do
request that you contact the Webmaster prior to the event so we have an idea
of how many tables we are going to need.

The Frat held at the Blossomland Gem
And Mineral Society Swap Meet was another success. We had eight faceters,
including one beginner, and we generated a lot of interest from the Swap
Meet attendees. The Blossomland folks are gracious hosts and just nice
people, and we thank them for inviting us to be a part of their event.
