Seminars

The Midwest Faceters' Guild offers hands on opportunities for learning to facet every year. We offer classes for beginners as well as classes to allow experienced faceters to expand their horizons. Our instructors are knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and a couple of them are world class competition winners. We try to staff our beginning class heavily so no one has to wait too long for assistance. Machines are available for use in the beginning class on a first come first served basis.

In addition to hands on faceting classes we also offer a GemCad class for those who would like to know more about how to use this powerful faceting tool.

Occasionally we offer other classes of interest to faceters as staff and location permit.

Our seminar is held in August. The classes run two days, Saturday and Sunday. Dates and locations may vary from year to year. As soon as they are firmed up they will be posted on this site.
