variety of classes, demonstrations and
workshops related to "geology and
gemcraft". Quarterly meetings
are
held at various locations across
Michigan to plan the Seminar. A quarterly newsletter provides a way
for local earth science clubs in the state to network as well as
publishing organization business.
For 2010 the Midwest Faceters' Guild is going to be offering a Faceting
Seminar at Webberville High School at the same time MGAGS is holding
their Rockhound Seminar. Though we will be sharing the facility
the events remain separate with each group handling it's own
registration and fee collection. You do not need to register with
MGAGS to participate in the Midwest Faceters' Guild seminar.
One advantage that this arrangement offers is if you have a family
member who is interested in some aspect of the lapidary arts they can
take MGAGS classes while you are faceting.
